Legal Support
ISHEM provides independent technical expertise in a legal context across three areas:
Expert Witness: provision of independent expert witness reports and testimony for legal proceedings involving health, safety and environmental matters. ISHEM's consultants are qualified and experienced in their respective disciplines and can provide technically robust, impartial expert opinion that meets the requirements of the Civil Procedure Rules.
Legal Privilege: technical support for organisations and their legal advisers where work is to be carried out under legal professional privilege, providing the documentary protection appropriate to the sensitivity of the matter.

Root cause analysis using recognised methodologies to identify underlying causal factors rather than surface-level symptoms, with findings and recommendations documented in a report suitable for submission to regulators, insurers or legal advisers. Project Management
Coordinated project management of complex, large-scale or multi-disciplinary HSE assignments. Service Provider Contract Governance
Independent support for organisations that procure HSE services from third-party contractors and need assurance that those services are being delivered to the required standard.
